Sung Joon Park is a 16 year old high school student at Thomas Jefferson High School from Alexandria, Virginia. He lives with his parents and his two older sisters, both in college. He was first motivated to write and publish his poems by the idea that he could convey his personal thoughts and experiences to the community. Some contain messages he would like the reader to consider, both broad or deep. Others were meant for entertainment or relief from stress. Overall, Sung Joon intended the book to be diverse in the hope that his poems may provide any form of helpful messages and encouragements to the audience.
